A dog was found on the side of the road with “tears in her eyes” as she sat next to her dead puppies who were cruelly stuffed in a bag.
Paul Skinner, a cyclist, was biking along a road when he found the mom on the roadside. The Cocker Spaniel mother seemed to be in distress and did not want to leave her babies side.
Skinner alerted the police, the RSPCA, and a greyhound sanctuary who call came out to the scene to rescue the poor mother.
Skinner said he was out cycling with friends when they spotted something that they thought was a dead bird. Upon closer inspection, they found that it was not a bird.
“It was a small spaniel without a collar. We looked around in case anyone was in trouble. It was set back quite a long way from the road.”
“The dog was on its own, sitting licking the contents of a fish and chips carrier bag.”
